Programmer Analyst: June 2007-present

Writes, designs and deploys web applications for varying organizations in the School of Medicine with Oracle and an in-house framework built on PHP. Works on framework enhancements aimed at better AJAX integration, automated testing and rapid development. Volunteers regularly to give talks on technology/programming topics in weekly developers meetings. Works mostly with PHP5, SQL (Oracle), XHTML, JavaScript and CSS.

Wrote and deployed custom web applications centered around content management and e-commerce systems. Provided support for existing applications and aided in the design of new ones. Worked primarily with Adobe's Coldfusion, SQL (SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle), XHTML, CSS, Javascript and PHP.

Research Assistant: September 2004-June 2005

Aided professors in computer vision, and robotic mapping research by implementing and testing algorithmic ideas. Made suggestions to improve ideas based on research and test results. Worked mostly in MATLAB by Mathworks, with documentation written in LaTeX.

Consultant: January 2002-August 2004

Provided technical support for students in GNU/Linux, Solaris and Windows 2000/XP operating environments, as well as troubleshot hardware and software components. Performed hardware and software installations.

Teaching Assistant: September 2002-December 2002

Assisted professors by grading and commenting on programming assignments, answered questions related to assignments, and taught skills such as debugging in the C and Java programming languages.

Built using the Django web framework, Newshoured.com is a local newspaper aggregator for geographical areas throughout the US. Data is stored in a combination of JSON files and a MySQL database and served through Lighttpd and mod_fastcgi.

Data is stored in a MySQL database and served through the Apache Web Server and mod_fastcgi. The original site (also in Python/Django) was rewritten in December 2006.
